RIFLE SHOOTING
Waipukurau Defence Club On the Mt. Vernon range during the week-end the members of the Waipukurau Defence Club fired ofE the second round^of the Crooks Cup (two 7 shots at 900 yards. Conditions for shooting were on a par with last week. A heavy iniragc and a fishtail wind caused tue riflemen some anxious moments. Eifleman L. J. Taylor headed the list with a total of 63 off the gun which was a fine performance under such conditions. He was closely followed by Eiheman P. Monckton. The following are tne details: —
