Instrumental Group Meets at Havelock North MISCELLANEOUS PROGRAMME Tlie instrumental group of the British Musio Society enjoyed a very delightful evening at Dr^ and Mrs. K. E. Crompton's home, Havelock North, where they met for the last timo for the year. Tlie programme, which represented various penods oi niusic, was as foilows: — pianoforte, "Pantasia" (Mozart), Miss 1. Clayton] "ithapsody in G iViinor' ' (Bralims), Miss h'. Parkinsou] "Tocatta" and Pugue in D Minor" (iiaen-Tausig), Mrs. S. T. Miller] "Music on the Moonlit Terracty' (.Debussy), Miss K Wilson; "EJegie" (itaclimanmolf), Miss A. Lockj ••Apni" and "Rosemaiy" (two skeoehes by i1rank Bnuge, Mrs. Blair. Violin, "Lullaby" and Prelude" (Parry), and "Ailegro" (Eccles), Master Victor ltugg ] "Eomance in G" (Svendsen), Miss Beth Thompson. The accompaniments were played by Miss I'ox. Readings were given as i'ollows : — The religious aspect of the music oi Bach, R.eethoven and Mozart, Mrs. Blair] sketches of Kreisler, Miss Mo Leod and Miss H. Pope] piano piaying and piaying by ear, Misaes McLeod and N. Crawi'ord. During the evening Miss Clayton, on behalf of the group, presented a bouquet to Miss E. Wilson, who is leaving shortly for England, all wishing her bon voyage and a happy time. In conclusion, Miss H. Pope proposed a vote of thanks to Miss Clayton as leader of the group during the year.
