ANNUAL PICNIC
Mangateretere School Pupils at Tomoana RESULTS 0F SPORTS The annual pionic of the Mangateretere School was held at the Hawke's Bay A. and P. Society's showgrounds at Tomoana yesterday, when ideal conditions prevailed. There was a big crowd of parents and supporters of the school present, in addition to the children, and the programme of entertainment catered for all. During tlie afternoon opportumty was takou to present a shaving set from the pupils to Mr F. J. Bennett, who skortly leaves the district to take up an appointment witli the National Bro: dcasting Service. The thanks of the committee are due to Messrs D. J. - >lden and A. Houston for trausport facilities, to the A. and P. Society for the use of the Showgrounds, to the ladies' committee, the teaching staff and the various donors of trophies.
