GARDEN PARTY
Attraction at Havelock North on Saturday On Saturday next, Noveniber 27, a garden party will be held at the home of Dr. and Mrs K. E. Crompton, under the auspices of the ladies' committee of the Havelock North branch of the Waipawa Electorate National Party. The fete will be opened at 2 p.m. by Coloncl J. H. Hargeet, M.P., and a tnost interesting programme has been arranged. Among the many attractions will be a sale of work, produce, sweets and cakes; weight-guessing, chaiustepping^ quoits, nail-driving for ladies, staking a claim, and a br.an tub. Pupils oi' the Barrie Studio will give an exhibition of daneing on the lawn. After--noon tea and ice-cream will be provided. Free buse® will leave Havelock North for Dr. Crompton 's home, ' 1 To Puna, ' ' Duart road, at 1.45 p.m. and 2.15 p.m., returning at the conclusion of the fete. The Automobile Association has made special arrangements for tho parking of cars. All electors are cordially invited to attend this function. Admission is free. In the event of rain the fete will be held in thc Havelock North Town Board Hall
