Hastings Branch Meeting The monthly meeting of the Hastings Plunket Society Committee was held on Tuesday, there being present: Miss Williams (in the chair), Mesdames F. J. Hull, C. Stubbs, A. Reeve, R. Campbell, Macniven, S. P. N. Weymouth, W. A. Whitlock, A. D. S. Whyte, E. D. Anderson, S. A. Vyner, R. Sunderland, W. P. Wellwood, E. O. Bates, the Misses T. Keith and S. K. Wellwood and the honorary secretary. Before beginmng the business of Uhe meeting Miss Williams welcomed Miss Wellwood on her return from England and Mrs Antbony Reeve as a new member of the committee. Nurses' report for October read ©s follows: — ^New cases, town 20, eountry 17 j visitors to the office, 1073; visits to homes, town 248, eountry 182; advice over telephone, 102; letters, received 5, written 3; eountry districts visited, Mangateretere seven times, Havelock North five times, Twyford four times, Longlands, Ngatarawa three times, Whakatu, Clive, Maraekakaho, Pakipaki twice, Haumoana, Te Awanga, Sherenden and Crownthorpe once. Miss Williams and Mrs Sunderland gave a report of the annual general conference Tecently held in Wellington. Mrs Hull, Mrs Whitlock and Miss Wellwood were appointed visiting committee for the month. The following subscriptions and donations were acknowledged with thanks: Mesdames G. Maddison, Foreman, Nowell Usticke, H. M. Bishop, Y. Kirkby, C. Pell, R. Giorgi, A. Young, J. W. Hale, C. Wilding, A. A. Wake, Gutterson, Wright, Gordon, O'Reilly and Mr Adam Bell also Maraekakaho Women's Institute.
