Monthly Meeting of Hastings Body At the monthly. meeting of the Hastings Lodge No. 24 there was a~ good | attendance of members. One friend was 1 duly initiated and 'two candidates were proposed for membership. An invitation was received and aceepted from Ladies' Lodge No. 22, Napier, to aftend a church parade and social on Nov. 7. Invitations were also received to attend installation of Ladies No. 50, Dannevirke, and the installation of Ladies' No. 5 Hastings, and both were accepted. It was resoived to hold« a combinpr meeting of all Grange Lodges in the district on Novcmber 25 to hear a lecture to be given by the Bev. Bro. A. G. Saunders, of Wellington. A proposal was put forward in regard to having a bowllng greon alongside the hall, although space may only permit of two rinks. The idea was well received, and the matter is to be put in hand almost immediateiy. The committee reported that arrangcments for the annual picnic, were being aftended to, and if is to b© held on New Year's-Day. j Heveral members were reported on the sick list. and hopes were expressed for their speedy recovery.
