HASTINGS BOYS' LODGE

At the monthly meeting of the Boys' Juvenile Lodge No. 7 the District Master and his officers were 'in attendance to judge the competifions. Two candidates were proposed for membership. The dteputy-superintendent was reported to be ill. The competitions were then taken, and for the best in the senior divisioc the judges had athard task to Belect the winner. The juniors, not liaving so many competitors, were hot so difficult to judge. However, two members of one family- were at the head of the list: Bro. L. Elms, senior prize, and Bro. W. Ehns the junior prize. The District Master congratulated the boys on the able manner in which the business was transacted by.them. Ho also conveyed greetings from the Girls' Lodge in Gisborne, which he had recently opened.
