(Received 4, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 3. Thc correspondent of the Daily Herald, the London Labour daily, at Danzig says that the "World Jqwisli Congress has notified the League that the Nazi Gpvormnent police fiuvt organised anti-Jewish outrages. Refugees are sTfdaming acrotss the frontier to escape almost indescribabk bestialities ofiicially planned and perpetrated as a prelude "to the totalitarisa* tion of the free city, where the Polish nationalists are the only non-Nazi party left. The Foli'sh community. denies tht Government organ 's allegation tbat they are responsible for -excesses ia which Storm Troopers led Hitler Youth in attacks against Jewish merchapts n, Danzig, Langfurt and Zoppot. Goods bought from Jewish shops weri destroyed and the shops were picketed preparatory to the laiinching of a street pogrom in which armed semi-unifoimed bands attacked the Jews. Storm Troopers smashed windows and shop signs, destroyed merchandise and thrashed Jews, one of whom was killed. The police merely hurried speetators past the scenes of the outrages, Oxcept in the basiest street in Danzig, where they interceded with the demonstfators, who thereafter contented themselves with- throwing shoppers from- Jewish shops and ordering the preniises to be closed. The marauders contjuue to terrify the Jewish population of 8000, boycottlng Jewish doctors - and lawyers, while Storm Troopers outside League Higlt Commissioner Burkhardt's house prtvqnt any appeal for justice. Furthermore, the minorities do not trust Herr Burkhardt, who is a Government nominee and recently washed his hand* of Danzig 's internal politics. "* •/
