DUNEDIN, This Day. The death has occurred of Professor David Renfrew White at the age of 91. Professor White was born at Edinburgh, Scotland, and educated at Hobart, Tasmania. He arrived in New Zealand in 1862, and, after various teaching appointments, he became principal of the Training College at Dunedin in 1893. He had held all the offices in the New Zealand Educational Instituto of which he was the founder and first) seeretary.
