MR. HENRY BOSHIER

The death occurred in Hastings this morning of Mr. Henry Boshier, Pakowhai road, after a short illness. Mr. Boshier was born in Sunningdale, Surrey, . England, and came to New Zealand with his parents in the ship Eutrepe, arriving at Wellington in 1874. From there he went to Feilding where he engaged in sawmilling and farming, ln 1914 he came to Hawke's Bay and had been in the employ ever since of the Hawke's Bay Meat Co. The late Mr. Boshier was a strong supporter of the Church of England. He was a chorister in the Feilding church choir for 20 years and later he sang in the choir of St. Matthew's Church, Hastings. * He was a Freemason, being a foundation member of the Otaihape Lodge. He was always of a quiet disposition, however,. and took no part in public life other than his interests in the Masonic Lodge and the church. Mr. Boshier leaves a widow and a grown-up family of two sons and four. daughters — Messrs. Maurice and Alan Boshier,, Hastings; Mrs. R. J. Cushing, Hastings; Mrs. F. A. Marriott, Westport; Mrs. H. It. Kessell, Sydney; and Miss Phyllis Boshier, of Hastings. The funeral will leave his late residence for the Hastings cemetery tomorrow at' 2.30 p.m.
