NATIONAL PARTY
Branch Formed in Sherenden District "It was tlie best and biggest political meeting 1 have ever seen in ihe district," commeiited a well-kuown settler at the conclusion of the meeting held at the Sherenden Hall on Saturday night, when a branch of tho National Party was formed. Mr. Noel Beamish presided, and those present were most enthusiastic. The meeting was particularly representative of the wide area which em braced the Fernhill, Pukeomoana, Crownthorpe, Sherenden, Otamaire, Matapiro and Whanawhana districts. The representatives were addressed by Mr. C. G. Harker, of Waipawa, chairman of th electorate eommittee, and also by Mr. N. J. McKay, secretary of the eommittee. The formation of a branch was nnanimously approved and a Strong eommittee was set up. At the conclusion of the meeting there was a 10O per cent. enrolment of those present.
