HARNESS HORSES AND PONIES
Mr. H. g. «Kyle, M.P., who judged ihe harness horses andi ponies, commented that the harness horses were numerically weak. The animal that j took the championship was quite a good j free mover, iit to win in better competition. The ponies were more in numbers, and the ehampion harness pony, which has been a frequent competitor and prize-winner, was outstanding, being easily tbe best in manners, conformation and action. The others in the class were of "quite. a decent standard," but were outclassed. The winning smail pony (12 hands) was a good harness pony and a free goer who deserved better competition. The winning pony stallion was of particular merit, showing good quality throughout. The brood mares were quite a respectable class. "The pony classes hexe have deteriorated," Mr. Kyle concluded. "Once this district could produce one of the best shows in the country for ponies."
