NINE-POWER CONFERENCE
Brussels is Probable Venue (Britieh Offlcial Wirelesa.) (Received 12, 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, Oct. 11. It is understood that the Belgian Government is giving immediate consideration to a British request that the NinePower Gonference on the Far Eastern conflict should be held at Brussels. Newspapers, believe that consent will be given and tbat invitations to attend the confeernce in about a fortnight's time will shortly be sent by the Belgian Government. A supplementary Press Association 'Jable says: It is understood that Brussels is likely to be the veUue of the Nine-Power Conference about a fortnight hence. The Onited States Charge d'Affaires called on the Foreign Office, and it is believed he intlmated his Government's approval and the likelihood that Mr. Norman Davis, IJnited States Ambassador to London, would represent the United States. Aceording to a Rome message, Signor Mussolini is expected to reject the invitation to the conference on the grounds that the agreement is dead.
