END LAWLESSNESS
London M.P/s Appeal LONDON, Oet 10. Mr Herbert Morrison, the Labonr member of the House of Commons for Hackney South. broadcasting to the United ;~>tates, appealed to America to aet to restrain -the world 's "bloodthirsty irresponsibles." Mr Morrison added that ihe epidemic of lawlessness ahd war could best be treated by qiarantining- the guilty, which .would
mean personally boycotting japanese goods. However, that alone, while satisfying the individual conscience, would not end the Japanese aggression. More comprehensive Government action was essential by the refusal to aecept Japanese imports or to supply Japan with war material. Even an oil embargo alone. might be decisive. Ho hoped that the British Government would translate into action the support Which tlie Prime Minister, Mr Neville Chamberlain, had accorded President Roosevelt's fearless declaration of principles.
