WELCOME HOME PARTY FOR THE MISSES RITCHIE

A delightful evening was given by Mr and Mrs T. Ritchie at their residence in C-ornwall road, Hastings, to welcume home tk^ Misses Ritchies, of Hillsbrook, Havelock North. who have recently returned from an extended tour of England, Scotland and the Continent. The hostess, wearing a eharming gown of violet shot ring velvet with gold lame trimmings, received her guests in the drawing-room, which was artistically decorated with bowls of tulips and lavender clematis. Miss L. Ritchie wore a black matalasse skirt with a black. and gold tunic and Miss J. Ritchie was wearing a pretty floral crepe de chine frock cut on classical lines. The evening, which passed all too quickly, was spent in community singing and games : Songs were given by Mr and Mrs Dunlop, Mrs Alexander and Miss Bain. A sumptuous supper was handed round and thoroughly enjoyed by all. The singing of "Auld Lang Syne'" brouglit a very happy evening to a close. Those present included Mr and Mrs T. Ritchie. Mr and Mrs G. Ritchie, Mr and Mrs j. Ritchie, Mr and Mrs Taylor, Mr and Mrs Lynch, Mr and Mrs Newell, Mr and Mrs ltobertson, Mr and Mrs Dunlop, Mrs Crowley, Mrs Starnes, Miss L. Ritchie, Mrs J. Ritchie, Miss Bain and Miss Robertson.
