PROVINCIAL PERSONALS
Mr R. R. Francis, formerly. of tho Dannevirke staff of the Post and Telegraph Offfce, has been transferred to the Waipawa office. On Thursday evening he was the recipient frora his colleagues of a travelling rug. Mr G. E. Fowlgr, socretary of the Oentral Hawke's Bay Eloctric Power Board, left Waipukurau by train on I Saturday for Wellington to attend the j conference of.- the secretaries' branch of tlie New Zealand Electric Power Boards and Supply Authorities Association, he being secretary of that branch. The main conference will be held on Thursday and Friday, the iirst three days of this week- being occupied by the conference of secretaries and engineers. The Central Hawke's Bay Power Board will be represeuted at the maia conference by Messrs A. C. Russell (cliairnian), G. E. Powler (secretary) and J. A. Nash, Palmerston North, ^ Mrs A. E. Bayliss, an old reaident of Takapau and now residing in Wellington, recently paid a visit to friends ia the Ormondville district.
