MANUFACTURE OF SHELLS
Tenders Invited in Australia (Received 9, 10.50 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Oct. 9. Tenders have been invited by the j^ederal Government for supplies of five types of shell and bomb bodies, and the prospective tenderers have been asked to indicate what assistance they require in the way of additional plant should their existing facilities be insufficent to enable them to undertake complete manufaeture. Thc totai cost of supplies is estimated at £100,000.
