SPECTACULAR FIRE

Paint Factory Destroyed SIX FIREMEN IN HOSPITAL (Received 9, 8.45 a.m.l SYDNEY, Oct. 8. Accompanied by loud explosions, the paint factory of Pabco Products, Ltd., near the harbour front at Glebe, was destnroyed by fire to-day, the damage being estimated at ^£8000. Six firemen were taken to hospital as a result of injuries ox burns. There were narrow escapes when the tops of two high towers and a wall fell in ruins. Some of the employees were trapped, being compelled to leap 20 foet to the pave ment. The flames rose to a height of 150 feet, and dense smoke is obscuring the city. The firemen had considerable difficulty in preventing the spread of the fire to the congested residential area.
