Rivers Board Held Liable For Cost « " The Hawke's Bay Rivers Board is being held liable for the cost, of the removal of a tower, estimated to cost £700, in the main supply line near Fernhill. The Public Works Department in a letter to the board to-day, stated that the removal of the protection, due to the work being done in the Ngaruroro river scheme work, had endangered the tower. Tbe board. however, denied liability, pointlng out that the tower was erected on its present site witliout the approval of the board.
