PRETTY WEDDING 0F INTEREST AT WAIPAWA
GRAY— BIBBY A pretty wedding that attracted much interest in Central Hawke's Bay was solemnised by the Rev. W. T. Drake, of Waipawa, on Saturday afternoon, when Phyllis Mary, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Bibby, of Blackburn Ridge, became the wife of Alan, son of Mr and Mrs Gray, Nar pier. The bride looked charming in a gown of leaf-patterned lace, with a higih neckline at the back and a cowl neck in. front. The tight-fitting sleeves were finished with' satin buttons, and the frock ended in a square train to whichsatin leaves were appliqued as well as on the cowl neck. A veil of deep cream tulle, loaned by a friend, was worn, with a, siiver halo and cream shoes touched with siiver. The bride's sheaf bouquet was composed mainly of pink carnations and cyclamen, tied with siiver ribbon. Miss "Bunty" Dobson, Gisborne, who was bridesmaid, wore a frock of blue stiffened ninon over deeper blue satin. It was cut on Victorian lines. Her bouquet was oi' cyclamen and anemones and she wore a halo of blue tulle and anemones. Blue shoes completed the ensemble. Mr Colin Gray, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and Mr Allan Bibby, brother of the bride, was usher at the church. Lutiesdale, the honie of the bride's parents, was the scene'of a small reception, the guests being relatives and old frienda of the family. Mrs Bibby, mother of the bride, wore a frock of black ligured georgette, with aecessories to harmonise. The posy was in shades of pink and dull rose. Mrs Gray was attired in a smart navy blue ensemblo and carried a flame-tinted • posy. Mrs B. Carlson, of Anaroa, a sister of the bride, wore a becoming figured wine ensemble, and Mrs E. Bibby, of Blackburn, the ' bride's sister in law, was clad in a brown model frock. An attractive brown and fawn costume was worn by Mrs Watson, Gisborne, sister of the bridegroom, and Aliss L. Gray, another sister of the bridegroom, wore a stylish green costume. On departing for the honeymoon in the North Island, Alrs Gray wore a spring costume of crusbed strawberry shade, relieved with blue, blue accessories to tone. Mr and Mrs f5ray will make their home in the Takapau " dis- ■ trict.
