ADVANCE IN HOPEI
Japanese Curved Line (Eeeeived 28, 3.40 p.m.) TOKIO, Sept. 28. The War Office states that the Japanese linje in the Hopei province is a curve, with tho apex poiuting north and the ends resting at Paotingfu aud Tsingchow. The Chinese aro rotreating southwards to a tomporary line running north and south from Hochien throogh, Sienhsien to Fucheng, where trenehes aro being constructed and reinforcements are arriving.
