Commission Votes Bonus To U.S. Marines (Received 25, 8.45 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Sept. 23. The Maritime Commission has refused to grant a bonus of 2500 dollars to eadh seaman, and double pay to each officer, sailing tho Chinese, Japanese and Spanish war zones. The commission, instead, votcd a bonus of 50 dollars to officers and men sailing in these waters in Governmontoperated vessels. This is th6 snme amount th6 unions rejected when .the steamship companies previously volunteered to pay.
