— Committee Holds Meeting

ONGAONGA, Last Night. The committee of the Ongaonga Soldiers' Memorial hield a meeting in the library room. -There were present H. Robb, cliairman, E. Macfarlane, secretary, G. Coles, W. O. Freemantle, C. Rasmussen, B. Diamond, and J. F. Bell. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The main business considered was' tliti question of the proper distribution of water supply so that all parts of the memorial section could be reached by liose. Tenders had been called. for the erection of pump house, tool shed, and tank stand, and two tenders were considered. After a full discussion it was decided to accept the tender of Mr Frank Coles. ^ The chairman, Mr H. Robb, was alsu empowered to arrange for the purchaso of a suitable electric pump. A sub-eommittee consistmg of Messra G. Coles, B. Diamond and £. Macfarlane, was set up to inspect the site and report on the length of piping ra5 quired, and on the position of the pump jj house and hose fixtures.
