WELLINGTON, Last Nigjht". In reply to the following question '*Will the Minister of Railway® advise the House as to when a decision can be expected in regard to what is proposed to be done in connection with the railway facilities at Palmerston North," the Minister replied to Mr J. Hodgens, M.P., as follows in the House of Representatives : — "I desire to inform the honourable gentleman that Cabinet is sympathetic with the proposai for the deviation of the railway at Palmerston North with a rearrangement oi railway facilities ; but, in view of the number of projects in hand and authorised and the difficulties experienced in ohtaining^ the necessary plant and materials, it is not possible at present to say just when the work will be commenced."
