(Eeceived 20, 8.45 a.m.') EOME, Sept. 18. "The Foreign Offiee cannot apeum« the task of denying all ten.dentious i»t ports of Italian activities emanating from Ked sources." This was a declaration issued follovring a report emanating from France that 700Q more Italian troops had - landed at Morocco. On the other hand, amid renewod attacks by the newspapers on Britain, the Press xeveals that 231 officers nn.d 2791 men, including two battalions of infantry, a machine-gun battaiion and * battery of artillery, eailed this evening for Libya, while three battalions de» parted to East Africa. These troops' movements recall that Italy aeted in a similar manner following the .dispatch of the British Fleet to the Mediterranean during tfie Abyfr> sinian crisis. Although there is at present no official confirmation of the statement, the troops going to Libya are "engaged on Mediterranean defence work."
