A message of sympathy, with best wishes for his qujck recovery, was sent to Mr A. C. Holms, whpso jllness prevented his attending Friday'e meeting of the Central Hawlce's Bay Power Board. Mrs H. M. Preston, Miss Marie Preston and Mrs Walker, have returned to Waipawa after a holiday eruise to the Islands. Lanee-Corporal lt. Holms, of the macliine-gun ti-oop, W.E.C.M.R., left Waipukurau on Saturday for Trentham to receivo instructlon from Scptember 18 to 25.
