PORANGAHAU, 1-ast Night-. I'Jte l'orangjnhiiu Towd Hall was well lilled last evuniug when mombers of the Waipukurau Toc H assisted at a con-cei-t given by tho Pori|igabau Ladies' Guild. In tho absenco of Mr J. Cook ip. ihe vocal quartette, Mr Scott at short notiee ably filled his place. • During tbe interval tlie Rev. lClr Niblock thanked the visiting artists for their assistance. He trusted that tlie guild would benefit from the eoncert. Miss Iiuth Hepburn was the accompanist. The following programme was presented : Vocal quartette, Toc H members; humorous recitation, Miss G. Major ; tap duo, Miss J. Harker and Mr S. Southerwood ; duologue, ' "Purple Dusk," Mr and Mrs A. H. Hope; vocal quartette, Toe H members; tenor solo, M. C. Wadman ; tap dance, Misses O, llowley, M. Matthews, H. Kuru and J Harker. Humorous reoitation, Miss G. Major. Une-aet play, "Slow Curtain,'' (by members of tho Wallingford Woinon's Institute), Mrs A. H. Hope^ Miss P. Wilder, Mrs P. C'anning, Mrs F, Walker, Mrs W. Paterson, Miss J- Ormond.
