Successful Football Dance

WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. The members of the Ongaonga Rugby Football Club held its annual ball in tbe Ongaonga Public Hall. Weather conditions wero most favourable, and there was a large erowd of dancers from all parts of the district. The local committee had spared no pains to make the ball attractive and had decorated the hall with paper streamers in a very pleasing fashion. The floor was in perfect condition for dancing- Novelties added greatly to the gaiety of the occasion, Exoiellent musie was played by W. Te 'J 9 i and his- orchestra. A very delicious aud bpqntiful supper was served'by an energetic committee of ladics, ScOiool Roll Numbor. The prcsont roll number of tbe Ongaonga public sclxool is 88 pupiis, the highest nuinber that has been on the roll for at least 10 years. It is is hoped that, if this number can be maintained, the school will be re-gracb ed a sub-grade higher for 1938, which would mean Ihe appointment of au» other assistant.
