Hard Game with Tech. 6.B. Leaving all the scoring until tlie second spell M.A.O. gained a h-ard-earned win over Teclinical Old Boys, the final count being 14 — 6„in favour of the Maoris. The play was much more even than the scoring ihdicates, Tech nical being very close to snatching victory until a lew minutes of the call of time. . , . . , Though the play was ragged the honours were keenly contested; in the first spell when Tdchmcal liad the advantage of the wind. However, iieither side could score, but territorially Technical had had slightly the better of the game. After the change-over Tech opened the scoring, Cusbing gaining a try, but within a few minutes a try by Cunningbam and converted by Staples placed M.A.C. ahead for Thompson to increase the inargin with another try, and Staples. kicked. a penalty goal. The margiii was reduced i when Brooks scoredj but tbe Maoris made victory a certainty when Meafou scored a runaway try. Mr D. Graham refereed.
