The Sydney Morning Herald's Canierra correspondent says that the draft igreement for the provision of Govern nent financial assistance in tho British ihipping service between Australia, New Zealand and Canada departs materially from the principles suggested by tho Imperial Shipping Committee. It is understood that tho proposed agreement, the detaila of which are iteing questioned by tlie Govcmnienls of Xew Zealand and Canada, will provido for contributions to tho scrvieo as follow: — Usual mail subsidy on the same basis now applies between the tliree Jominions. Obligation hy the Governments of Australia New Zealand, Canada and -ritain in respect of the annual intercsu »ill on the cost of the two new sliip /hich will operato the scrvieo. Undertaking by the Government;jointly to guarantee the loan which would be necessary to pay for the ship
