Decrease In Patients At Hastings INCREASE AT NAPIER A dccrease ia llio nu'Uibor oi1 patients in the Hastings Memorial Hospital, and an iucrease in those ut the Napier Publie Hospital, is revealed in tho nionthly report of the medieal superintendent, Dr. J. Foley, presented yesterday afternoon to the Hawke's Bay Hospital Board. In Hastings there were 53 patients at the bcginning of the period and 49 nt the end, while at Napier the figures were 177 and 188 .respectively. During the month five patients died at Hastings and 17 at Napier Operations performed at Hastings numbered 20 major and 67 minor, and at Napier 28 major and 91 minor. Hastings treated 211 otitpatients on 589 visits during the month, and the saoie department at Napier treated 152 patients on 849 visits. In tho maternity sections 24 bahies were born at Hastings, and six at Napier during the month.
