MOTHERS' UNIONS HOLD MEETING AT TARADALE
A most successful united gathering of the Mothers' Union took place in All Saint's Hall, Taradale, when rejiresentatives of St. Jolm's, St. Augustme's, St. Andrew's, Clive, Puketapu and All Saints (Taradale) assembled tor a combined meetiug, visitors bemg present in large numbers from all of the above iocalities," in addition to a nunierous asseinblage from Taradale, Greenmeadows, Meeanee and Pakowhai. The llev. Canon AJfred Hodge took the service in the chureli, . whicli was packed to overfiowing, and also presided at the subsequent meeting in the schoolroom. A most interesting address 011 "Huxnour and lleligion,'5 was giveu by the Rev. J. J. Anuerson, of Puketapu, and a social programme was contributed to by Mrs M. Kelly, Mrs Bagott, a dance by Miss Marjorie Milier, and a short story by Miss Carter. Afternoon tea was served by the ladies of All Saints, Taradale, and aitogether the occasion jvas universalU voted to havo heen oue of tho most successful of its kind ever held in the district.
