FALSE INCOME STATEMENTS
Casual Waterside Workers Fined Casual waterside employees charged with making false statements of incomc, appeared "before Mr. J. Miller, S.M., in the Napier Magistrate 's Court this morning. The cliarges were laid under Ihe E-mployment Promotion Act, and fines were imposed to cover tho amount of cxtra money received. On two chargcs, Charles George Riddell, . .of Napier, engine-driver, was fined £6 with 10/- costs in each case. Waltcr, Jolinson, of Napier, storeman, was fined £3 and £2 with 30/- costs in each case on two charges, and was allowed a month in which to pay. Albert Henry Jane, of Port Ahuriri, labourer, was fined £3 with '10/- costs and £2 with 10/- costs respectively. .. ..
