It was deeided that st'ei>s bo taken , to acquire a metal quarry site, consisting of half an aero, on Mr. J. S. Dunn's property, Patoka^ v Cr. Turner explained that the quarry was a good one, and was necessaiy for metal purposes. The N.Z. Eivo Million Club wrotc asking for co-operation and a subscription to their funds. — It was deeided to reply stating that tho council had not any funds for this purpose. The chairman added that he expected legislation. would be passcd for local bodies to contiibute to such purposes. Mr ,P. Drummond, Puketapu, wrote asking what the council intended-lo do to remcdy flooding near his property Cr Turner explained that it was proposed to put in a culvert during the f.oming season so as to make the road passable in time of a small flood.
