RACING IN HAWKE'S BAY
H.B. District Committee Tbe montbly meeting of tbe Hawke 'a . District Committeo met at tbe Hastings racecourse tca kiosk last Erulay. Present: Messrs G. D. Beatson (cbairman), G. Ebbett, F. P. Kelly and T. Y. Morrin. Leave of absence was granted Messrs T. H. Lowry,* F. Tollerton, P. E. Wall and W. J. Wood. Advice was received from N.Z. Racing Conference tbat tbp Waipawa County Racing Club had been granted permisslon to race at Hastings on Saturday, Novcmber 6. A letter was received from tbe N.Z. Racing Conference listing various licenscs granted at a recent meetiug of tbe executive committee. Applications were dcalt witb for amatour riders' cer'-.ificates, appreutice riders', jockeys' and trainers' licenses." Bacecourse inspectors' reports were received and approved in conneetion witb recent race meetings held in tho metropolitan area of Hawke's Bay. Programmes were approved i'ur ihe annual race meeting of !be Wai^'twa County Iiaeing Club, and tbe spring meeting of tbe Poverty Bay Turf Club
