Anotber pleasant aftornoon was spent by the Hastings Home Loague meiiibevs antl friends in the Young People -s Hall on Wqdnesday. Mrs Nellson, who is to arrange tho September meetings | iuvited the Rov. C. B. Boggis to s^eak at ihe iirst meeting, which was Spiritual I Day. The word "Shield" was includcd in tho text which was wel'l rcspomled to. Aftcruoon tea was tb.cn' served, aftcr which Jtrs Neilson introduced the Rev. C. B. Boggis to Hoine League meinber^. The apeaker took for his subjoct & "Music broadcasted long ago," this 0 being based upon a verse of Scripture § where Paul and Silas sang songs at 0 midnight in a prison cell and other § prisoncrs heard them. The ReV, Boggis 0 pietured the prison cell as a studio and 0 his explaqation of the subject waa 0 wonderful. 0 Major Marshall thanlced the Rev. 0 Boggis for his addreSsf which all mem0 bers had thoroughly enjoyed. 0 Mrs Neilson then gave a btief talk § on the wonderful blessing that could be O received out of the Rev. Boggis 's ad ® dress. O It was announccd that next week's S meeting would be a "surprise aftdrO noon" and that the word "Holiness" § sliould be included in the text.
