Mr. and Mrs. A. Craig and their two sons are Eltham visitors to Waipukurau. They are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. B. Grovenser, Porangahau road. Later ■ they will sfay with Miss Winlove, WalIace road. - Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Bollons, of Waipukurau, are at present on holiday. They have motored to Wellington, and will visit other centres in the North Island, Mr. A. S. Holms, after spending a fortnight on Holiday with his parents in Waipukurau, has returned to Wellington. Miss A. Wells, of the li.terary staff of the Taranaki Herald, New Plymouth, Is the guest of Mre F. J. Dunbar, Wai- ' pukurau. Mt and Mi» L. O'Halloran, wxth Miss O'Halloran, have retufned to Waipawa, after spending the winter at Pukerua Bay. Miss E. -Harrison, of Waipukurau, whose nxarriage to Mr. L. Gooday is to. bg feelebrated shortly, was the guest-of-honour at a kitchen evening held 'at -'the residence of Misses McKenzie and Scott. Games, oompetitions and other activities made the evening pass very .pleasantly. Miss W. Lourie, who has been »u the office staff of the Dannevirke Evening News for the past three years, has left to take up her residence at Waipukurau with her parents. At a, gathering of the News staff she was presented on their behalf and of the company with a travelling 'bag as a mark of esteem. Mr. W. J. Woods, the manager, appropriately expressed regret at the departure of a loyal eervant of the company and wished her suceess ih the future.
