WELLINGTON, Laet Night, Tbe following remit was carried at the conference of the New Zealand League of Nations Union; "Whereaa articles 1 and 8 of tbe Covenant require collective regulation of armaments, and whereas article 9 provides for a pernianent commission to advise tbe Council on military, naval and air questions, the New Zealand League of Nations Union urges tbe New Zealand Government to take a lead towards t'ulfilling the never-yet-fulfilled pledges of tbese articles by asking the Council of tbe League to advise and direct it in regard. to the scale, type and use of armaments necessary to fnlfil its international obligations.'1
