GOVERNOR CONGRATULATES WAIROA COUPLE

The golden weddiug of Mr and Mrs Olaf Johansen, AVairoa, was celelirated on Tuesday, Mr Johansen carne to New Zealaiid from Norway in 1872 and was married to limily, daughter of Mr William Atward, at Norsewood on August 31, 1887. They bavo resided in Wairoa during the 50 years of their married lifo. 'lhey have a family oi two daughters and seven sons. Ihere are 18 graildchildren. Among the messages of congratulations was oue from His Excellency the Governor-Ceneral of New Zealand, Lord Galwajr.
