PORANGAHAU WOMEN'S CLUB
Thero were large entries for all events in the seventh annual women 's golf toarnament held on the Porangahau links on Saturday in ideal weather. Miss J. Speedy epoke on behalf of the visitors and thanked the Porangahau club for the excellent day they had provided. The following are the results: — Best gross score over 36 holes; Challenge Cup and trophy: Miss J. Speedy (Waipukurau) ; runner-up, Mrs Urquhart. ■ Best senior net score: Miss J. Speedy. Best junior net score: Mrs Collins. Senior, bogey: Miss Speedy. Junior bogey: Miss Pam Board. Junior gross score: Mrs Hope. Approach and putt: Mrs Urquhart. Long drive: Miss Joan Eedward. CORONATION CUP. During the week the ladies played the fourth round for the Coronation Oup and the best eard handed in was: Miss E. Douglas, 99 — 19 — 80.
