HAMILTON, Last Night. The North Island Gun Club championship opened at Morrinsville .to-day with over 30 shooters from all parts of the island, including E. Groome (Hawke's Bay), New Zealand clay champion; J. B. Thomasen (Taihape), New Zealand pigeou champion, and D. P. North (Whangarei), New Zealand sparrow champion. Results: — North Island Sparrow Ckampionship: M. Pratt (Otorohanga) and R. Symons (Taihape) shot the possible, Pratt winning the shoot-off. Pigeon Titi e, 17 Birds: D. P. North and W. G. Rao (Tauranga) shot th'e possible, North winnin;r on tho shootoff.
