WAIPUKURAU, Saturday. In the basketball matches played at Waipukurau -to-day between the tjyo Central Hawke's Bay and Napier teams, the .former were victorious in both games, the results being as follow: — Central Hawke's Bay A (22) beat Napier A (14). Central Hawke's Bay B (23) beat Napier B (16). ; The visitors were afterwards entertained by Central Hawke's Bay at afternoon -tea at the Cosy Tearooms. A fine display of quiek passing was given -by both sides, but Central Hawke's Bay were favoured with a stronger defence, thus securing an easy wiu.
