H.B. COUNTY ROADS

Letting of Sealing Tenders Delayed SPECIFICATIONS CHANGED . A delay has been occasioned in tlie letting of tenders for portion of the Hawke's Bay County Council's tar-seal-ing programme owing to an alteration in the method of sealing to be used. This has necessitated the preparation of new specifications for the approval of the Main Highways Board. The county clerk,. Mr W. J. O'Connell, stated this morning that four of the six sealing works to be completed by tbe county were affected by this change. It was hoped, however, that the amendments would be Cnalised in time to prevent any delay in the conipletion of the tar-sealing programme.
