WOMEN'S INSTITUTES

Kaiwaka Gathering The Kaiwaka Women 's Institute inet in the Kaiwaka Hall, Mrs Wkite presiding. Four members of the Institute repd a short and amusing play, "Snowed in with the Ducks." The readers were: Mrs White, Mrs Wilkie, Mrs Sigvertsen and Mrs Arnold. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs Bennett' and Miss Bennett. The results of the day's cooipetitions were: Date scones, Mr Wilkie 1, Mrs McKinnon 2. The best bloom in the garden, Miss Bennett 1, Mrs Bennett aud Mrs McKinnon (equal) 2. Hostesses conipetition, Mrs White.
