TEXTILE STRIKE
Canadian Incidents (Received 12, 8.4 a.m.) MONTREA'L, Aug. 11. Violenee broke out in two textile mill strilces, the police gassing and dispersing 150 girls, At a Petersborough, Ontario, factory several were injured and the Mayor beaten when he tried to interfere. The ofiice ' superintendent of the Montreal mill was also severely beaten by strike sympathisers when he attempted to enter the building.
