Mrs. A. Bradley presided over a fair attondance at the monthly cneeting of the Ongaonga Institute. It was decided this year to hold the birthday party in the afternoon, as it was considered that members from neighbouring institutes found this time moie • suitable than the evening, A most interesting demonstration on hair-waving was given by Mrs. J. Warlow, who showed very simply and clearly the necessary steps. She was thanked very heartily for her excellent demonstration, and a cordial invitation was extended to all members of the Wakarara Institute to attend meetings of the Ongaonga branch whencver po»«sible. A refreshing afternoon tea was served by the hostesses. Mesdames Beachen and Spackman. „ Yery good entertainment waS pro - vided by Miss Gillespie and Miss Ruston.
