* I (Received 11, 8.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, Aug, 10. News has been received here of the death in London of Miss Helen Hughes, a daughter of Mr W. M. Hughes and Dame Maiy Hughes, following a severe abdominal operation. Miss Hughes went to England for tho Coronation festivities. Most of her early assooiations were among tho liighcr circles in Britain, and during her girllxood, when her father was Primo Minister of Australia, great interest was shown in her by Queen Mary. According to a message from London, Miss Hughes died after an Operation had been performed for perforated duodenal ulcer. She recently had her teeth attended to and Beemed to bo in better health. Australia House has cabled full pa% tieulars to Mr Huglxes ,and has. askcd . for instructions for his daughtcr's burial.
