LOYAL ORANGE INSTITUTION

The usnal meeting of the Loyal Orance Institution No. 24 was held in the Protestant HalJ. on Tuesday. There was a good attendance. Oue friend was initiated, and an old inember applied to be reinstated. An invitation was received and aecepted to be present at the installation of offlcers at Dannevirke. An invitation also was a,ccepted to attend the installation ef officers of the Napier Girls' Juvenile Lodge on September 4. A letter of appreciation, together wifb a donation, is to be sent to the Highland Pipe Band for its assistanee iu leading the chureh paTade on July Beports were received from executive officers in regard to the recent visit oi the M.W. Grand Master which conveyed tlie impression that he was favourably impressed with the work being carried on by the various lodges of the order in this distriet.
