AUCKLAND, This Day. Arrangements are being made by the Auckland Labour Eeprosentation Committee to extend a welcome to the M'inister of Finance and Marketing, the Hon. Walt'er Nash, on his return to New Zealand next month after his cxtensive visit to Great Britain and other countries for the purpose of discussing the marketing of the Dominion 's primary products. Mr Nash was-also one of the New Zealand representatives at the CoronatJOn celebrations and the Imperial Conferei.ee. The Town Hall has already boen booked for Thursday, August 12, the day on which Mr Nash is exected to land in Auckland, and it is proposed that the function will be in the nature of a social evening and dance. It is hoped that the Rrime Minister, the Et. Hon. M. J. Savago, who xeturned to Wellington on Wednesday, will bo present at the gathering, in which eaoe it will take the forin of a welcome to both Mr Savage and Mr Nash.
