MRS. E. S. PROCTOR

There passed away on July 21 a vei j old and much-respected resident of Hastings in the person of Mrs E. S. proctor, widow of the late Mr Robert Thompson Proctor. Mrs Proctor was of a very kindly nature and much esteemed by all who knew her. Bhe was born in the Tikokino district 72 years ago and spent the whole of her life in Hawke's Bay. The late Mrs Proctor had many memories of the early days of the district. She was the eldest daughter" of the late Mr and Mrs E. D. Pollison. Her huSband predeceased her 17 years ago, and there is a family of. two sons, Messrs W. J. and C. E. Proctor, of Hastings, two daughters, Mrs P. E, Page and Mrs J. M. Rigby, both of Wellington, and eight grandchildren, to wlxom the deepest sympathy of a wide circle of friends is extended.
